Minutes of meeting held in Bricklayers arms Monday 12 may

Present: Pat Card, Jamie Johnson, Harry Czapski, Andy Stephenson, Dick Knowles, Graham Gorman.
Equipment/Track :
J.J said, we have collected nearly 5000 vouchers – items from those should be with us by the end of May.
Ian Thompson, Graham Gorman and Steve Rooney had a meeting earlier on today with Lyn Britten talking about the state of the track and the facilities.
The track has been re-lined and cleaned and there is a chance that the track will be upgraded. The track safety situation has improved although induction group are still warming upon the infield – a reminder has been put on the website.
X-country Relays:
Pete has done the working procedure document and it will be distributed to the relevant people.
Officials:
Official’s lists have been given to A.S, J.J and Richard Taylor.
Louise Card will help the women’s team.
Volunteers/Coaching:
G.G has spoken to Mike Wise about updating CRB checks. Brenda Russell will be helping with coaching. H.C has spoken to Lee Cobley who will be coming back to the club in the summer.
Trisha Mc.Sweeney has started the Thursday night jumps coaching and Simon Dickerson is assisting her with a regular group of about 8 athletes.
G.G distributed a list of current coaches – we have 23 active coaches and 5 more people ready to do a level 1 course.
Kestrels:
Kestrels/induction meeting still to be arranged
Vests and Hoodies:
Still selling well, 2 more hoody orders going in P.C still investigating polo shirts.
Indoors training:
Steve Rooney has spoken to Lyn Britten about re-booking the sports hall for the winter.
Club development:
Exec liked the idea of the mission statement; Richard Taylor has kindly volunteered to become the development officer. G.G and Scott Grace will support him. This means we now have a full exec committee.

1st Aid cover
J.J will be organising a 1st aid course. 1st aid kit has now been upgraded and is in club. J.J and A.S. need copies of the medical folder. J.J. particularly needs a copy in his job as first aid co-ordinator.
Forms will be updated next year; membership is approx 275 – 300

Turn out of over 50 athletes with 15 gold medals and a CBP from Ben Gregory and Stefano Aquilino.
Discussed reward of box of chocolates for an athlete of the month – Jo Hunter ad Stefano Aquilino.
Athletics UKA registration:
P.C has re-registered us as a club and has sent an email asking for details of competing athletes from coaches.
Club Promotion
We maybe able to distribute leaflets within the hospital and with the Guttmann gym application forms. There was also a bug promotion effort at the race for life.

Finished 5th – was a good competition and excellent facilities. The chance to use non-scorers was welcomed as was the level of competition.
Pat Card needs help with refreshments on the 25/05 at the Hemel home meeting.
